Stare into the VOID

I've been working on a bit of a comic, for a website called 'EnterVOID.' It's a character battle tournament site. Decided to stick miss Linore into the fray.
What follows are some in-progress shots of the pages for her intro comic. It's all I've been working on, save one other small project, since I have until the 24th to finish it up.

My play is having its final weekend tomorrow, as well. I'm excited, very excited, but also sad. It's been a great experience.

Green Hair

It's taking surprisingly long for me to get back into the swing of doing my art regularly.
It's kind of painful, since there was a time not very long ago where I would go into withdrawal from spending half a day without a pencil in my hand.

I still adore it, I am just getting so caught up in other bits and pieces of my life, I am not awarding myself the time.
As a result, I feel some of my work is suffering pretty badly.

Here's a weird little drawing I did. I don't know why her hair is green. Just seemed the thing to do.

Refresh

It has been a very, very long time since I have updated this blog!!
I am hoping to resurrect it as a proper sketch blog, with near-daily updates. Including sketches of my current projects, as well as fun little cartoons that I draw to keep myself sane throughout the day.

I don't have terribly much to say at the moment, so simply enjoy this little speed paint I whipped up tonight, of my character Linore.

Down to the Wire

Hey, all.
Here's Ginny checking in again. We've got quite the oppressive amount of work on our plates, and the task of completeing it all is beyond daunting. We need to allow the printers at most 28 days to get the comic printed and back to us (I sense a zombie movie starring a certain Irishman).
Time is running out, since this must debut at the Expo.
I know we can get it done. The question is, how much of our former selves will exist by the time the endeavor is complete?
That and the fact that our day jobs are draining what was left of our sanity.

Preserverence can pay off, though, and I'm hoping it will.
I will not surrender the quality of my work simply because time isn't performing at maximum relativity lately.
Honestly, it isn't! Otherwise, I'd be able to convince myself I had a lot more time than I do!!!

Here's some art to brighten the day:

Tata for now!

First Post

This is going to be the first regular blog I've ever kept.
Going to be fun. :D

I'm going to use this mostly as a daily art blog. I'm drawing every day, and most of what I draw never makes it out of my apartment.
It will also be used to keep everyone updated on the activities of Flaming Hand Studio, mine and Chris' comic studio.

May 2nd is going to be the official release date of our first comic, Athenaeum. Some of you may remember this as our old web-comic. Well, I am here to tell you that everything you saw in the old run has been scrapped and COMPLETELY done-over, even the script. It's still the same story, characters, etc., but now we've learned enough to do it up right.
It's going to be released in print at the Lubbock Comic Book Expo the first weekend in May. It's also going to be available for purchase online.
There will be exculsive content and sneak previews posted here until that time, so keep watching!

To celebrate the rebirth of Athenaeum, here is a drawing of the main character, Ginny:
